« Ce mardi 5 octobre 2021, S.E.M Abdoulaye DIOP, Ministre des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération internationale a convoqué l’Ambassadeur de France au Mali », a informé le secrétaire général ministère des affaires étrangères et de la coopération internationale du Mali.
Il précise ainsi que cette convocation est faite « suite aux propos inamicaux et désobligeants tenus par Monsieur Emmanuel MACRON, Président de la République française, sur les Institutions de la République du Mali ».

« Le Ministre a signifié au diplomate français l’indignation et la désapprobation du Gouvernement du Mali et élevé une vive protestation contre ces propos regrettables, qui sont de nature à nuire au développement de relations amicales entre nations », indique le communiqué.
Il ajoute, « aussi, le Ministre a invité les autorités françaises à la retenue, en évitant des jugements de valeur et appelé à une approche constructive basée sur le respect mutuel, en vue de se concentrer sur l’essentiel, notamment la lutte contre le terrorisme dans le Sahel ».
« Enfin, le Ministre DIOP a réitéré la disponibilité du Gouvernement à bâtir avec les partenaires qui le souhaitent, des relations sincères et concertées, respectant le principe de non-ingérence conformément aux aspirations légitimes du Peuple Malien », conclut-il.
